The Epidemiology Unit stated that 4,625 persons were administered COVID-19 vaccine doses on Sunday.
Accordingly 4,479 persons were administered the first dose of Sinopharm vaccine while 146 persons were administered the second dose of the Oxford, AstraZeneca Covishield vaccine.
A total of 957,959 persons have been administered the first jab of the Sinopharm vaccine so far.
A total of 925,242 have been administered the first jab of the Oxford, AstraZeneca Covishield vaccine. Meanwhile, a total of 353,302 persons have been fully vaccinated with the Covishield vaccine in Sri Lanka.
Another 64,986 persons have also received the first jab of the Sputnik-V vaccine so far.
Furthermore, 2,865 doses of the Sinopharm vaccine as the first dose and 2,435 doses as the second dose was administered to Chinese nationals in Sri Lanka engaged in developmental activities.
