NCPA raids to detect under-aged children employed as domestics

The National Child Protection Authority (NCPA) is conducting raids on households countrywide to find out whether under-aged children are being employed as domestic servants.

The raids are being carried out with the help of the Police.

'About 800 investigators have been deployed for this purpose," said NCPA Chairman Prof. Muditha Vidanapathirana when contacted by the Daily News yesterday.

"Over 70 investigators have been deployed to inspect houses in the Kurunegala and Puttalam Districts," NCPA sources further revealed.
