All hospitals in Hambantota District full

Hambantota District Health Services Director Dr. Deepika Patabendige stated that more than 100 cases of COVID-19 positive patients are reported daily in the Hambantota District and all major hospitals and intermediate treatment centres are overcrowded.

The District Director of Health Services also said that it should be mandatory to wear a face mask, even if it is a close relative who comes to their home, as COVID-19 infections have been reported in many places, including weddings, alms giving ceremonies and gatherings.

She added that the supply of Oxygen has increased more than ever as the number of patients who depend on Oxygen at treatment centres is increasing day-by-day.
