The final decision on the Teacher-Principal salary anomalies issue will be presented next week, Cabinet Spokesman and Media Minister Dullas Alahapperuma said.
Responding to a question by a journalist at the Cabinet press briefing held at the Government information Department yesterday, the Minister said the final solution would be arrived after considering the observations of the Finance Ministry and other relevant institutions as well as the report of the Cabinet Sub-Committee appointed to look into this matter. The Minister, who was also a Member of the Sub-Committee, said an extensive study was conducted on the matter and the report of the Committee was discussed at length at the Cabinet.
“We postponed the final decision as we have to seek the opinions of many other relevant institutions,” he said.
