Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena endorsed the certificate on the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SECSL) Bill yesterday (21).
The Bill was presented by the Finance Minister in Parliament on July 9, which was published in the Gazette on June 28, 2021. Accordingly, the Securities and Exchange Commission Act No. 19 of 2021 came into force from yesterday.
