Training Centre for National Karate players

Sri Lanka Katate -Do Association received well equipped training centre for the National Karate players. The Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa made all arrangements to supply these facilities for the Karate players which is much needed for their regular training.

The separate place with all modern facilities from Torrignton Sports Complex have been allocated for this training.

The Minister also expected to supply all other Infarstructure facilities to the Karate Association for their players benefits. Minister Rajapaksa also inspected this new training place last Tuesday and also gave instructions to the Ministry officials to allocate funds to get modern equipment.

Earlier High Performance Unit of the Sports Ministry also selected Karate as a medal winning sport at the International level and Ministry also gave financial donation to Karate Association to maintain the National pool for the future events.

Karate players already are focussed on next Asian Games in 2022. The officials of the Karate Association highly appreciated the facilities for the Karate players future preparations.
