Monkey threat at forest hermitage

Herds of monkeys are roaming around the Madunagala Forest Hermitage in Suriyawewa causing panic among devotees.

Many people visit the hermitage to offer alms and spend about two days at the hermitage. They said that monkeys surround the hermitage from dawn to dusk posing a grave threat to the children who visit there with parents.
