Persons involved in black money cases should be revealed – MP Herath

National People’s Power (NPP) MP Vijitha Herath yesterday told the Government to reveal persons who has connections with black money cases.

“While the people of the country are suffering from financial crisis, some persons including politicians are involved in various scams generating black money,” MP Herath said.

“The Government, therefore, should immediately present the details about such scams and the persons who are involved in them,” MP Vijitha Herath said.

“The economy has collapsed due to mismanagement. It is not the Cabinet that decides the prices of rice but businessmen like Dudley Sirisena. This Government has revised eight rice gazettes. The whole country is going in reverse owing to the wrong policies of the Government,” he said.

“Signs of a severe food shortage are looming large over the country. Playing with words will not make the economy strong. The real story is that the economy has collapsed,” MP Herath said.
