A large rice processing complex in Panagamuwa, Tissamaharama, which remained closed for eight years, is functioning now.
Set up by the previous United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Government, it was closed with the change of Governments.
It processed over 40,000 kilos of paddy daily before the closure.
