Indian Army Chief pays courtesy call on Navy Commander

The Chief of the Army Staff of India, General Manoj Mukund Naravane who is currently on an official visit to Sri Lanka paid a courtesy call on Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne at the Navy Headquarters today.

Upon his arrival, the visiting Indian Army Chief was warmly received to the Navy Headquarters and he was accorded a special Guard of Honour in compliance with naval traditions. Thereupon, Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne welcomed General Manoj Mukund Naravane with open arms and introduced the Navy Chief of Staff and the Board of Management to the visiting General.

During the ensuing discussion, the two top military brass exchanged views on several matters of mutual interests and bilateral nature, pertinent to the armed forces of both countries. They also exchanged mementoes, signifying the importance of this occasion.

Having posed for a group photograph with the Commander of the Navy and the Board of Management, General Manoj Mukund Naravane left his remarks in the Visitor’s Book at the office of Commander of the Navy and took leave from the Navy Headquarters.
