Bakeries, restaurants hit by LPG issue

President of the All Ceylon Bakery Owners’ Association N.K. Jayawardena said that more than 50 percent of restaurants and bakeries are having difficulties in keeping their businesses open due to the shortage of LP gas in the country as well as the shortage of flour.

Meanwhile Asela Sampath, President of the All Ceylon Restaurant Owners’ Association, said that about 80 of restaurants are facing difficulties due to the shortage of LP gas.

He believed, however, that things may improve by Wednesday.
