The functions of the Galle District Secretariat for the New Year 2022 were officially commenced yesterday ( January 3) morning following the hoisting of the National Flag by the Galle District Secretary Shantha Weerasinghe.
Subsequently religious observances of all faiths were conducted.
Thereafter the officials led by Galle District Secretary administered the Public Service Oath and Affirmation for 2022. The year 2021 was a very challenging year and the work of 2022 should be accelerated by making those challenges as a support and blessing and deliver the best services to public uniting all the institutions, which is the best approach to true prosperity, Galle District Secretary stated addressing the officials gathered on the occasion.
