A celebration of art

Vocalist and actor Sampath Sri Senevirate and Tower Hall artist V Sripali Amarawardena are celebrating 35 years in the art scene. To commemorate this milestone the duo had organized a concert at the Moratuwa Buddhist Center auditorium on March 13 at 2.30 pm. Singing, dancing, drama and Angampora fighting demonstrations by Sumudu Amalha Group will be showcased at the event. The show is for invitees only.

A ceremony to preserve old songs (noorthigee) is also included at the event. Some of these songs are choreographed by Amarawardena. The music is supervised by Seneviratne. It is directed by Sarana Gunaratne and G Senerath. Yesteryear Tower Hall artistes Lionel Gunathileke and Wimal J Sriyaratne directed the music. Nimal Jayasinghe, Rathanasheela Perera, Kumari Perera, Sandun Wijesiri and other award winning artistes will grace the event. Moratuwa V Sri Art Forum artistes including chitraratne Hettiarachchi, Kumudini Fernando, Ramani Panagoda, Sumitra Manel Guruge, Lakshman Hemachandra, Dhammika Damayanthi, Upali Bandaranayake, D C Samaranayake, Sandya Nilmini, Mulin Dias, Wilmanda Alwis, and Kingsley Kumar too will be present.

The main sponsors of the event are Abhiman Surakshitha Surecha Sangawithanaya and Moratuwa V Sri Art Forum.
