The Colvin R. De Silva Maha Vidyalaya in Iththepana in the Matugama Educational Zone and the Wadduwa Central College in Panadura in the Kalutara Educational Zone will be upgraded to National Schools today by Education Minister Dinesh Gunawardena, Kalutara Zonal Education Director Ajith Wickramarachchi said.
The Colvin R. De Silva MV will be declared a National School at 9.30 am today and thereafter, the Minister will deliver the C.W.W. Kannangara Commemoration Speech.
The Wadduwa Central College will be declared a National school at 10.30 am on the same day.
Education Minister Dinesh Gunawardena will also lay the foundation stone for the laboratory of the College.State Minister Piyal Nishantha de Silva, Kalutara District Parliamentarians Jayantha Samaraweera, Sanjeewa Edirimanna, Western Province Education Directors, Ministry Officials, Kalutara Zonal Education Director Ajith Wickramarachchi and many other State Officials will participate in the ceremonies.
