Over 90% of school uniforms distributed

Nearly ninety eight per cent of the school uniforms required for this year have already been distributed to schools, Education Ministry Secretary Prof. Kapila Perera said.

The remaining two per cent will be distributed soon and the distribution process will end probably by the end of this month, he said.

Tenders for school uniforms were invited by the Women and Child Development Pre-Schools and Primary Education, School Infrastructure and Education Services State Ministry. The supply and the distribution process is also being carried out by that State Ministry. According to Prof. Perera the remaining uniform materials will be distributed to the relevant schools after receiving them on time.
