Litro Gas has resumed the distribution of domestic LP Gas with effect from yesterday, Litro Chairman Vijitha Herath told the Daily News yesterday.
Accordingly, the company distributed nearly 35,000 cylinders yesterday and will distribute around 45, 000 cylinders today (20), he said.
The distribution was resumed after completing the unloading of the LP Gas shipment of 2,800 MT that arrived in Colombo on Tuesday. Another shipment of 3,900 MT was due to arrive in the country yesterday, Herath said.
The second shipment is expected to be unloaded within the day, today, if rough seas do not hinder the unloading process, he added.
If the second shipment is also unloaded without delay, the company will be able to distribute nearly 80,000 cylinders per day for the next five days, which will be enough until the next shipment is received within the next week, Herath said.
