GCE O\Ls: Exam staff to have priority in fuel distribution

Moves are under way to provide fuel for examination staff to be able to conduct the forthcoming GCE Ordinary Level Examination without any hindrance, Examinations Commissioner General L.M.D. Dharmasena said.

He told the Daily News that discussion in this regard was held between the Examinations Department and Ceylon Petroleum Corporation recently. Following the discussion, invigilators will be given priority when obtaining fuel from filling stations so as to report for examination duties on time.

Accordingly, authorities have to make arrangements to form a mechanism to give priority for examination invigilators during the examination period.

The GCE Ordinary Level Examination 2021 will be held as scheduled from Monday (23) to June 1 at 3,844 examination centres, Examinations Commissioner General said.
