Antonian Sanjeewa Bogahawatte was an outstanding ruggerite

Sanjeewa Bogahawatte, the present Prefect of Games of Greenhill International School,Kandy studied at St.Anthonys' College,Katugastota from 1983 to 1996 and in School he was an outstanding ruggerite at Senior Level and he led the School Under 13 Rugby team to become All Island Schools Champions at the Milo Trophy Rugby Tournament. Sanjeewa was a member of the School Under 17 Rugby team at the All Island Schools tournament held in 1994 Under the Captaincy of Sameera Silva, Maleesha Gunaratne, Muthiah Sasidaran and Prabath Gunawardena and in the Champion Antonian Rugby team as well as a champion javelin thrower at School level.

After leaving school Sanjeewa Bogahawatte joined Kandy Sports Club in 1996 and played as a flanker in 1997 under the captaincy of Lsantha Wijesuriya and continued playing rugby for the Kandy SC under the captaincy of Asoka Jayasena and Imithi Marikkar was also in the team.

In 1999 he played under the captaincy of Harris Omar and in the year 2000 under Dunstan de Silva. In the year 2001 Sanjeewa continued playing rugby under the captaincy of Nalaka Weerakkody and in 2002 he played under Pradeep Basnayake and he ended up his rugby career under the leadership of Sajith Mallikarachchi .

After that he was employed at the Plantation Sector as a Factory Manager and became a Rugby

Referee as well in their Rugby Team. At present Sanjeewa Bogahawatte is a Level Two Rugby Referee in school matches, school rugby sevens and Club Rugby Sevens and he is at present the Prefect of Games at Greenhill International School,Kandy and his intention is to continue as a POG and during the period he has produced many Sportsmen & Sportswomen.

Some of them are Hamza Nawsheen and Mohammed Nizlan as cricketers and Inuli Yehensa as an Up-and-coming Athlete. As a talented sportsman he is also an IRB Level Two Health and Strength Conditioner.
