Police information disclosed that negotiations are currently underway between the the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the Attorney General’s Department and the police to bring drug lord Nadun Chinthaka alias Harak Kata, who is in the custody of the Dubai Police, to Sri Lanka.
Necessary arrangements will be made to bring him to this country next week.
Last Friday, the official notification to Sri Lanka from Dubai that Chinthaka was arrested was given through the international police.
Accordingly, discussions regarding bringing him to Sri Lanka has commenced.
Police information also mentioned that special coordination is being made in this regard by the State Intelligence Service.
Accordingly, the information also revealed that a special team will leave for Dubai by the weekend, completing the legal procedures to bring back Chinthaka alias Harak Kata.
