A two-day athletic training camp for school children of Akkaraipattu Educational Zone schools who participated in All Island School Sports Meet -2022 athletic competitions, was conducted by Akkaraipattu Zonal Education Office at the Addalaichenai Public Playgrounds recently.
This training camp was organized by the Assistant Education Director (Physical Education) S.M.Jameel under the guidance and supervision of the Akkaraipattu Zonal Education Director A.M.Rahmathullah.
The coaching team was headed by In-service Advisor (Physical Education) M.H.Hammath, assisted by well known Athletic coach M.M.Mifran, Physical Education Teachers and School Sports Trainers. Around 60 athletes representing 07 schools from Addalaichenai, Pottuvil and Akkaraipattu DS Divisions took part at this training session.
Meanwhile, the Akkaraipattu Educational Zone secured 08 gold, 10 silver and 05 bronze medals in the Eastern Province Inter School Athletic Competition -2022 which was conducted by the Eastern Province Education Department worked off at the Leelarathna Playgrounds, Kantale recently.
