Police Special Task Force (STF) officers conducting a special raid in the Boossa Prison have recovered four mobile phones, one charger, four data cables, three sim cards and an adapter on Thursday evening.
The officers had searched 46 cells and these unauthorized equipment has been recovered in the cells where notorious criminals such as Kanjipani Imran, Shanuka Madhushan alias Olumara, Dematagoda Chaminda and Podi Lassi are detained. One mobile phone, two sim cards, the charger and the adaptor was recovered in the possession of Kanjipani Imran, one mobile phone and one data cable have been recovered in the possession of Olumara and Dematagoda Chaminda each and one smart phone, a sim card and two data cables have been recovered in the possession of Podi Lassi.
The STF are conducting further investigations.
