TU activist Ananda Palitha, another remanded till 26

Electricity Users’ Association Secretary Sanjeeva Dhammika and Samagi United Trade Union Alliance Convener Ananda Palitha, who were arrested by the Kollupitiya Police were ordered to be remanded till January 26 after they were being produced before the Colombo Fort   Magistrate’s Court. The order was issued by Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage. The duo were arrested on charges of threatening two members of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL). The Kollupitiya Police had begun an investigation following a complaint lodged by PUCSL Vice Chairman Udeni Wickramasinghe and member Mohan Samaranayake.
