Dayasiri complains of faking signature in LG nomination paper

Sri Lanka Freedom Party General Secretary MP Dayasiri Jayasekara has submitted a complaint to the Criminal Investigation Department regarding an incident of submitting nomination papers for this year’s Local Government Election while faking his signature.

Jayasekara has stated that a candidate contesting for Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia Municipal Council has submitted nomination papers faking his signature.

Dayasiri Jayasekara stated that he submitted a complaint to the Criminal Investigation Department to conduct an investigation in this regard. Dayasiri Jayasekara also said that a written request was made to the Chairman of the Election Commission through a letter to cancel the nominations of the concerned candidate.
