National People’s Power (NPP) Executive Committee member K. D. Lal Kantha yesterday said that it is essential to lead the struggle on the condition that oppressed people should not be oppressed any more. He said that the struggle against the rulers should be done in a way that only the rulers can feel.
The former Parliamentarian also said that they should see how the rulers are responding to the struggle and then choose the next course of action accordingly.
“According to our Constitution, people have full right to take to the streets, protest and strike. Anyone can use that right. No one can oppose that right”, he said.
“Some people are talking about a continuous strike. He said that any future course of action should depend on how rulers respond to the trade union action.
