B4U Warriors win Maruthamunai Premier League

B4U Sports Club Warriors team, Maruthamunai beat Tsunami Younger’s team, Maruthamunai by five runs in the final to emerge champions of the Maruthamunai Premier League (MPL) nine-a- side limited seven overs cricket tournament at the Maruthmunai Mashoor Moulana play ground recently.

Maruthamunai Premier League (MPL) Chairman M.M.Nusair organized the tournament successfully while 10 prominent cricket teams from the area participated.

The final match was played between the B4U Warriors Team, Maruthamunai team and Tsunami Youngers team.

Tsunami Youngers team won the toss and decided bat first scored 53 runs in their allocated seven overs. In reply B4U Warriors team, scored 58 runs in 4.5 overs for losing one wicket.

The Member of Parliament Muszharaff Muthunabeen was the chief guest at the award ceremony.

Champion B4U Warriors team were awarded Rs.40,000 cash prize and trophy and the runner-up Tsunami Youngers team was awarded Rs.20,000 and a trophy.
