No intention to increase MP’s insurance benefits - Deputy Speaker

Deputy Speaker Ajith Rajapakse told Parliament last Wednesday (24) that no decision has been taken to increase the Parliamentarians insurance, and the reports in this regard are completely false.

The Deputy Speaker in response to a question raised by MP Wimal Weerawansa said no decision

has been taken to increase the insurance of Parliamentarians. He further stated that those are only reports published in some newspapers, and that there are no suggestion has been made regarding increasing the insurance of the parliamentarians.
