Brother dies on sister’s wedding day

The brother was killed in an accident while carrying the greeting cards and wedding photo of his only sister’s wedding with the groom’s father. The groom’s father was seriously injured in the accident.

The deceased has been identified as Bimsara Prabod Ranasinghe (15) of Kotigala, Hadapangoda.

The wedding was held yesterday (25) with the participation of both parties and after the bride left the groom’s house, the groom’s father and the bride’s brother were coming on the Kurana road by motorcycle with printed wedding photo cards. Ingiriya police said that the accident took place when the motorcycle carrying the two of them lost control in Kurana.
