The experience opener Dimuth Karunaratne is named for the 15-member squad for the forthcoming World Cup qualifying cricket tournament while experienced Angelo Matthews couldn’t find a place. The Lankan squad is expected to leave for Zimbabwe tomorrow.
According to a reliable source the 15 member squad was named by the National Cricket Selection Committee and subjected to get approval from the Sports Minister.
Dasun Shanaka is named captain of the team while young Matheesha Pathirana also get chance to enter the squad. Dimuth Karunaratne who scored back to back fifties at last two ODIs has also secured a place.
