On 11 th of May, a predatory tuition teacher in Kaluthara was arrested for sexually abusing at least 16 female students in Kaluthara based on the information received by the Kaluthara Divisional Bureau for Prevention of Abuse and Children.
The remand order against the suspect was further extended until 23 June when the matter was taken up in court.
An investigation was carried out by the Kalutara North Police based on a statement recorded by the wife of the suspect which stated that the suspect had incriminating videos of him sexually abusing schoolgirls in his laptop.
