Myanmar presents Marble Replicas of Maravijaya Buddha Statue to Sri Lanka

Strengthening long-standing religious connectivity between the two countries, Myanmar Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing presented marble replicas of Maravijaya Buddha Statue, to be handed over to the President and the Sri Lanka Government.

These replicas were officially handed over to the Sri Lanka’s Ambassador in Myanmar on Thursday (10) at the Embassy by a special envoy of the Myanmar Prime Minister.

Ambassador Janaka Bandara and the other officials of the Embassy received the replicas with utmost respect and paid homage offering ‘Buddha Pooja’.

The Sacred Replicas of Maravijaya Buddha Statue will be airlifted to Sri Lanka soon.
