Anunayake of the Ramannaya Maha Nikaya and Head of the Patthaduwana Bhikkhu Training Center in Minuwangoda Ven. Nedagamuwa Vijaya Maithree Thera passed away yesterday morning (24).
The Anunayake Thera had also served as the advisor of the Education Ministry.
The Thera (73), was also the Deputy Registrar of the Sri Lanka Ramanna Maha Nikaya.
He was ordained in 1963 and held various positions in the Sambuddha Jayanthi Committee as well as many other committees.
Ven.Vijaya Maithree Thera is known for having worked for the development of the Ramanna Maha Nikaya by Buddhist missionary activities in the country and overseas.
