EducationUSA at the United States-Sri Lanka Fulbright Commission, in partnership with the U.S. Embassy Colombo, will host a U.S. university fair with representatives of thirteen U.S. colleges and universities on Tuesday, September 5, from 2.00 – 6.00 p.m. The first in-person U.S.-sponsored higher education fair in Sri Lanka since 2019 will take place at Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Lotus Hall. The EducationUSA Fair is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required. The Fair registration link is: https://bit.ly/EducationUSAfair2023.

“Many Sri Lankan youth are at the beginning of a journey that can open doors to a world of possibilities, and our U.S. State Department-supported EducationUSA Fair is here to help you along the way. U.S. universities are recognized worldwide for the quality of their programmes, their faculty, and their facilities. The diversity of the American higher-education system is unparalleled. With over 4,000 nationally and regionally accredited universities in the United States, you can choose the type of academic institution that is right for you, from small liberal arts colleges to community colleges to large research universities,” said U.S. Ambassador Julie Chung.

“I also encourage you to stay connected through our free EducationUSA Advising Center based in Colombo. Whether you are researching your options at our American Center, walking through the application process with an EducationUSA advisor, or enjoying the world-class instruction and facilities you will find on a U.S. campus, the United States is honoured to support you on your road to success.”
