Naula Police said that a Sub-Inspector who was bitten by a dog in the suspect’s house when going to arrest the suspect who had a warrant against him in a criminal case by the court, is being treated at the Dambulla Base Hospital.
Police officers had gone to arrest the suspect yesterday (15) and said that the dog in the house was made to bite the sub-inspector.Police said that after the incident, the suspect ran away from the house and a special operation is underway to arrest him.
Gayan Vimukthi, a sub-inspector attached to the Naula Police, was bitten by the dog.
Police stated that his left arm was injured due to the dog bite.
