EDWARD – JOSEPH CHRISTOPHER RAJASINGHAM (JOE) – (Former Regional Manager – Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation, Senior Manager – Whittall Boustead (Union Assurance Limited), Head of Insurance at John Keells Holdings and Bartlett and Past President – Rotay Colombo Uptown), dearly beloved husband of Indra (nee Saverimuttu), loving father of Tanuj (Orient Insurance) and late Niluj, father-in-law of Manjula (nee Bastians) and Krishanthi (nee Anthony), much loved grandfather of Ashwini (IFS), Shania, Andrew and Anika, brother of Ranjan, late Nesam and Christabel, brother-in-law of late Joseph Chrisostom, Reggie Emmanuel, Inbam and of Leela, Ranji, Dunstan, Ravi Saverimuttu, the late Austin Tisseverasinghe and of Charles Rajanathan, Dr Sahayani and Mala, was called to Rest in the Arms of Jesus on the 19th of October 2023. Cortege leaves A.F. Raymond’s Funeral Parlour at 2.30 p.m. on the 20th of October for Funeral Service at St. Mary’s Church, Nayakakanda followed by Burial at the General Cemetery, Nayakakanda, Hendala, Wattala.067283

My dear uncle Joe, just cannot fathom that you’re no more. You were such a humble human with a passion to help who ever needed help. For me & my four siblings, you were not our uncle but our second father after our father’s demise at a young age. How can we forget your warm hospitality when ever we visited your humble abode down Alwis Town then from Jaffna now from Canada. You were truly a wonderful soul with a broad smile & I have never seen you getting angry. Am sorry uncle Joe that I did not visit you last year during my trip to Sri Lanka…you wanted to see me, you called me a number of times on my mobile, but my tight schedule brought me back to Toronto straight from Kallar.
Uncle Joe, you have left us with beautiful memories that will always stick in my heart forever.
Rest in peace in the arms of our Almighty father & good bye uncle Joe. Your nephew Rohan
