Earlier, USA, batting first, collapsed from 88 for 5 to 115 all out, losing their last five wickets in five balls. Jordan’s hat-trick came in the final over. England, the last team to enter the Super Eight, were the first to qualify for the semifinals thanks to their impressive run rate. Adil Rashid, with 2 for 13, was named Man of the Match.
