All arrangements have been made to hold the 2nd Public Rally in the series of Public Rallies jointly organised by the New Alliance led by the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) on June 29 commencing 2 pm, in the Wellawaya City Center, in the Moneragala district. This Public Rally will be held under the theme of “Victory for the Country – Together for the Future”.
This Public Rally is organised by State Minister of Foreign Employment Promotion Jagath Pushpakumara.
The New Alliance programme has been strengthened with the initiation of the New Alliance in conjunction with the SLFP. Other parties, led by the New Alliance, are working to build a massive alliance with the participation of the largest number of MPs represented in Parliament. Nimal Lanza said that various political Parties, trade unions and many civil organisations are ready to gather around the New Alliance.
MPs supporting the New Alliance include Nimal Siripala de Silva, Mahinda Amaraweera, Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Duminda Dissanayake, Jagath Pushpakumara, Susil Premjayantha, Nalin Fernando, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Nimal Lanza, Priyankara Jayaratne, many former MPs, Provincial Council members, Local Council members, Trade Union representatives and civil society activists are scheduled to participate at this Rally.
