The ‘Denary Odyssey’ visual art exhibition will be held from today (28) to June 30 at the Harold Peiris Gallery of the Lionel Wendt Art Centre, Colombo 7.
The opening ceremony will be held today from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm and the public exhibition will be held from tomorrow morning (29) until June 30 from 9.00 am to 8.00 pm.
The ten artists are University of Visual and Performing Arts graduates Namal Kumara, Madusanka Dimal, Chandana Gunathilake and Anupa Perera; Shanaka Kulatunga – Master of Fine Arts candidate at University of Kelaniya; mechanical engineer Gayan Hemaratne, who is pursuing a PhD in Archaeology at the Post Graduate Institute of Archaeology at the Kelaniya University; Kaveeshwara Jayasekara – currently pursuing a master’s degree in art history at the Postgraduate Institute of Archaeology, University of Kelaniya; Rasika de Silva, diploma holder of Fine Arts from the Sharadha Kala Nikethanaya Colombo; Mandira Ranatunga – assistant lecturer; and Bhani Manohansa, a digital artist.
