Blasters Sports Club, Sainthamaruthu team beat Genius Sports Club, Kalmunai team by 06 wickets in the final to emerge champions of the ‘Nafeer Foundation Champion Trophy-2024’ T-10 Cricket Tournament conducted by Sainthamaruthu Blasters SC at the Sainthamaruthu Ashraff United Play Grounds recently.
This tournament was sponsored by Nafeer Foundation President and ECM Construction Pvt Ltd Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Engineer Dr.U.K.Nafeer and 32 teams took part.
Genius SC batting first scored 72 runs for nine wickets at the end of the 10 overs. Aafaq Nasar of Genius SC (24) was their top run getter. In reply Blasters SC, Sainthamaruthu team reached their victory target of 73 runs in 8.5 overs for loss of four wickets. Fawas of Blasters SC took 3 wickets. Man of the Match was Aafaq Nasar of Blasters Sports Club and Man of the Series was M. Asarudeen of Blasters SC. Winners were awarded trophy and Rs.50,000.00 cash prize and the runner-up Genius SC team was awarded trophy and Rs. 25,000.00 cash prize at the award ceremony. The final match and award ceremony was presided over by Sainthamaruthu Blasters SC President M.P.M. Fajil under the guidance of Club Chairman A.M.A. Nizar. The main sponsor, Nafeer Foundation President and ECM Construction Pvt Ltd Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Engineer Dr. U.K. Nafeer was the chief guest.
