Former MP R. Sampanthan’s remains lay-in-state in Parliament

The remains of former Opposition Leader, Leader of the Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kadchi (ITAK) party and Member of Parliament R. Sampanthan will be kept Lying-in-State in the Assembly Hall of Parliament from 2pm to 4pm on June 3.

Secretary General of the Parliament Kushani Rohanadeera said the Committee on Parliamentary Business which was met today decided to bring the remains of R.Sampanthan to Parliament on June 3.

It was also decided not to hold Parliamentary sittings on June 3 due to this reason.
