Antonians and Kingswood lose all three matches

Trinity College at one time was the power house and this time kicked off the season by winning the Canon R S de Saram shield by beating S. Thomas College 31-8 and in the second game for the first time went down to D.S. Senanayake College  10 14 and last evening played against the home town school Sri Sumangala College and the next game is with Dharmaraja College on 6th July  at Pallekelle.

Sri Sumangala College led by Dinidu Wickremasinghe, in the first game lost to Isipathana College  3 -50 and in the second game lost to  Dharmaraja  College 12-32  and the next game is with St. Anthony’s College at Bogambara Stadium on 7th July.

St. Anthony’s College – gave a good display in the past and are led by Oshan Gunaratne and lost all  three games played to Science College,14 -27 S. Thomas College  17-24 and in the last game lost to D.S. Senanayake  17 -30 and the next game is with Sri Sumangala College on 7th July at Bogambara Stadium.

Dharmaraja College led by Nimsha Perris went down to D.S. Senanayake in the first game  12 44 and won the second game against Sri Sumangala College  32 12 and lost the third game to Isipathana College  8 -46 and their next game is with Trinity College on 6th July.

Kingswood College led by Anuda Upek lost their first game to Royal College, 5-60

second game to St. Peters College 3-46  and the third game to home town school

Vidyartha College  13 to  50 and the fourth game is with Zahira College  on – 6th July at Nittawela grounds. Vidyartha College led by Gayan Perera started well by beating St. Josephs’ College 27 -22  lost the second game to Royal College10 -25    and in the third game beat Kingswood College  50 -13 and the next game is with St. Peter’s College at Nittawela on 7th July.

St. Sylvester’s College led by S.M.A.D.B. Samarasekera who went down to Ananda College in the first game and in the second game lost to Piliyandala Central College on June 29 Saturday at Bogambara Stadium will play their third game against St. Aloysius College in Galle on 6th July.

Bandara does well in swimming

R.B.S.M. Bandara of Dharmaraja College has become the champion in the under 11 swimming event, of the Central Province Swimming championship 2024 by winning two gold medals and a silver.

Gunasekara to captain                       St. Sylvester’s Football

St. Sylvester’s College have picked Kaushika Gunasekara to lead their senior football side. This time Sylvestrians are blessed with good football team with some talented footballers. This school has been doing well in football from the day they took up the game.
