A large consignment of smuggled cigarettes, worth over Rs. 500,000 along with a suspect has been taken under custody by the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) officers at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).
The suspect was identified as a 29-year-old resident of Colombo.
It is revealed that the suspect had smuggled the cigarettes by illegal means from Dubai into Sri Lanka.
