Grammy-award winning singer Taylor Swift is all set to make a return to the big screen with filmmaker David O Russell’s next project.
The singer will be the latest A-lister to come on board the project that already boasts of an ensemble cast featuring Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Rami Malek and Zoe Saldana.
Although plot details are being kept under wraps, it is said that the film is based on Russell’s original idea. The untitled film is also said the director’s first feature since his critically acclaimed 2015 film ‘Joy’, starring Jennifer Lawrence.
The upcoming feature also stars Robert De Niro, Mike Myers, Timothy Olyphant, Michael Shannon, Chris Rock, Anya Taylor-Joy, Andrea Riseborough, Matthias Schoenaerts and Alessandro Nivola.
It remains to be seen if the tide will finally turn for Taylor with this big-screen return. The singer last appeared in ‘Cats’. The 2019 musical adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s long-running stage show, sadly didn’t work well with the audience and was slammed by critics. ANI
