'Two killed in tipper-car crash

Two persons, including the driver of a car, were killed in an accident in the Marathankadawala area on the Trincomalee–Horowpathana main road, on March 1.

A lorry carrying sand from Ratmalai to Horowpathana collided with a car travelling from Horowpathana to Trincomalee. The identities of the two occupants of the car are yet to be ascertained.

Horowpathana Police are investigating the accident.
