Nine treasure hunters remanded

The Vavunia Magistrate Court ordered to remand nine persons for treasure hunting in a dagoba in the Nagailuppakulam Forest Reserve in Vavunia, until July 20.

Army arrested the nine suspects, while they were travelling in a van for treasure hunting. The van, a scanner, and several other equipment were also seized.

Seven suspects were from Delgoda, Kelaniya, Kadawatha, and Seeduwa, while the other two were from Vavunia.

Vavunia Police are investigating.
