Dushmantha Chameera the 31-year-old paceman said his come back after eight months really gave a good boost with two Afghanistan matches. “I had very tough period during last eight months and after successful recovery period I came back strongly”, said Dushmantha Chameera after the match yesterday. “We had a good bowling department and our team commitment was very high to get success. Getting wickets always make me high while this is good boost for next World Cup qualifier tournament in Zimbabwe.

“Actually we have good support to be steady during our recovery period and SLC made all necessary requirements to get back to normal. Especially we have dietitian and physiologist with our team and they gave a very good service”, added Chameera. We have good supportive fast bowling unit with the team and due to our busy schedule we have to look after our selves and keep fitness level high,” said Dushmantha Chameera.

Meanwhile skipper Dasun Shanaka said the way our bowlers bowl in these two games were exceptional while Chameera has improved after recovered from his injury.

“Chameera is the best paceman having more experience in our side. He also completed 50 ODI wickets at this game and his rhythm and style once again seem to be normal and his presence give big boost to Sri Lanka team”.

“I knew what type of difficulties one have to face after injury and the importance of recovery period. I think we have best team composition before the World Cup and we are very happy to come back with good performance”, added Dasun Shanaka.
