Youth killed after fall from Bambarakanda waterfall

 A twenty-year-old youth had died after falling from the top of the Bambarakanda Waterfall, the highest waterfall in Sri Lank.

The youth was among a group of fourteen who had climbed the Bambarakanda Waterfall on Saturday and the youth had slipped while climbing down.

The youth’s body was taken to the Diyatalawa Base hospital where an autopsy would taken place.

The deceased had been identified as Konara Mudiyanselage Madushanka, a resident of Samachaithyagama in Bandarawela.
