Police IDs of SP, OIC go missing in Kataragama

Police IDs of two Senior Police officials who were on special official duties at Ruhunu Kataragama Esala Procession festival have been reported missing and a complaint was lodged at the Kataragama Police station yesterday (5).

The missing police IDs are of an SP at the Presidential Security Division and the OIC of Okewela Police station.

A senior Police official said that these IDs have been misplaced on July 3 and they are unaware of how their IDs went missing. The two Police officials have also mentioned to Kataragama Police that their IDs were in their possession when they arrived on special duties to Kataragama.
