Govt. to provide 13,743MT urea

The government will provide 13,743 metric tonnes of urea, 3,299 tonnes of Triple Super Phosphate, and 3,781 tonnes of Muriate of Potash to farmers in Kurunegala.

It had also been decided to use 73,000 hectares of land to grow paddy during the 2018/19 Maha season. National Fertiliser Secretariat Assistant Director G.G. Harischandra told the Daily News that the government would provide a total of Rs.1.452 billion to farmers as subsidies.
