‘Minister Sajith ready to uplift UNP’

Dambulla Chief Organiser of the United National Party Priyan Wijerathne stated that Housing, Construction and Cultural affairs Minister Sajith Premadasa is ready to uplift the future of the UNP. Chief Organiser expressed these views addressing a meeting at Galewela organised by the UNP supporters in the Galewela Electorate.

Priyan Wijerathne said that they expect to provide 1,000 jobs to each electorate and priority would be given to UNP supporters in the Galewela Electorate who have suffered 25 years in the Opposition.

“Recently, 8,000 lakhs have been spent to develop the school system in the Dambulla Electorate. A new building was built in each school.

Under the Gamperaliya Project, 200 programmes were launched. Development projects had been initiated with 1,550 lakhs. We expect to complete 2,000 lakhs of development projects before March 31. Five projects have started in each village,” Chief Organiser Priyan Wijerathne added. ‘Minister Sajith Premadasa has established 15 villages. He expects to establish another 20 villages for people. Water facility was provided for 53 villages under the Wisal Dambulla Project,’ Priyan Wijerathne added.

Priyan Wijerathne also stated that they would take necessary steps to strengthen their youth associations and women associations within six months. Officials from government sectors, Association members and several members participated in the event.
