Kandaketiya police arrested a 27-year-old suspect on a tip off in Viyaluva on the Badulla-Mahiyanganaya road for pedalling drugs on Wednesday afternoon.
Fifty five sachets of heroin valued at Rs.150,000 were seized with him, police said.
The suspect, a resident of Balagolla, Meegahakuvula, was arrested in Karamatiya off Meegahakivula.
Officials from the Police Narcotic Drug Unit of the Uva Province led the arrest.
